Thursday 6pm

ABT needs no introduction.  This strength class targets all those problem areas.  These areas are also responsible for a lot of our posture and stability.

This hour class will leave your butts tingling and you’ll definitely feel where those abs are.

Training

LIIT Training has been around for a whilst but many of you may not have heard it referred to as LIIT. When performing LIIT our heart rates say around 60-75% of our max heart rate or for all our Myzone users the blue and green zones.

Low-Intensity Interval Training is very similar to a HIIT without the burpees and crazy moves alike. All workouts have a high and low intensity, but the difference here is that in LIIT, the high-intensity intervals are not all that intense at all and the recovery periods tend to be longer. This means that LIIT is more sustainable and definitely better suited to beginners, those with injuries or medical conditions, whilst still being a fantastic workout for everyone. LIIT is also a fantastic recovery session. Remember your body needs a combination of all the heart rate zones.

In order to get the same benefit as you would in a HIIT session, with a LIIT session you need to work for twice as long so rather than a half hour workout these classes are an hour long. You’ll enjoy compound exercises using resistance equipment and a variety of cardio exercises all delivered with a bright smile and lots of energy.

So no jumping or burpees and lots of energy that will leave you feeling full of crazy endorphins and ready to take on the world.

Yoga

Tuesday 7pm

Yoga with Nicole is on Tuesday evenings at 7pm in the group fitness studio.  We encourage you to bring your own mat, block and strap if you have one and arrive 5-10 minutes before the class starts.

Nicole will be your instructor and she practices and teaches the ISHTA Lineage of yoga. ISHTA is an acronym for Integrated Science of Hatha, Tantra and Ayurveda. ISHTA Yoga is a style of yoga that combines different types of yoga practices, blending ancient and contemporary teachings to meet the individual needs of each yogi. Encouraging each yogi to follow his/her own personal path.

We believe that by practicing yoga and creating one positive change within you, there’s no limit to how far the positive change can spread.

Like dropping a small pebble into a still pond, it starts with a single splash, creating ripples that spread far beyond the point of impact. The ripple effect of yoga can change the world; when you change one life for the better.

Matwork Pilates

Monday 6:30pm and Friday 9:15am

This class is suitable for every level of fitness.  These classes are conducted on the mat, utilising your own body weight for resistance. The beauty of Matwork classes is the enormous freedom of being able to enjoy continuous fluid movement with uninterrupted flow but always at your level of ability.

This class has multiple benefits including development of your core shoulder stabilising muscles and the gluteus muscles.  Increased flexibility, postural awareness and a strong mind body connection.  These are benefits that you will find invaluable in the gym and everyday life.

With our qualified instructors we can ensure that your safety is paramount and alternatives are provided for those managing injury or ailments.

Step Party

Tuesday 6pm Thursday 9:15am

Step Party is a classic cardio workout but for the coordinated and uncoordinated. Everybody is welcome! This is step broken down to it’s best.  No super complicated combinations that leave you lost and dizzy.

Step Party makes cardio FUN! The class uses aerobic step platforms, small weights, music delivered with a whole lot of fun.

It’s lasted for decades for a simple reason: It delivers results.
